Our Founding Journey

The Doshi Family believes in the power of giving back, creating a ripple effect of kindness that begins with family, extends to employees, and reaches entire communities. Their guiding principle is simple:
Each of us has the ability to make a difference—if we only have the desire to do so.
With a strong commitment to healthcare, education, and livelihood, the Doshi family has supported numerous charitable causes over the years. Drs. Leena and Dr. Nitin Doshi, recognized for their leadership and generosity, are now focusing their efforts to create a lasting, transformative impact in society.
An opportunity arose when Dr. Shyam Sheth, Chief Operating Officer of National Dental, shared his vision of helping individuals with cleft lip, cleft palate, and craniofacial deformities in India. Through his network and structure, he identified a pressing issue—inadequate funding for specialized surgeries.
His esteemed professor, Dr. Krishna Rao of Inga Health Foundation, had the expertise and willingness to serve but lacked financial resources. Seeing this life-changing potential, a partnership was formed—and Doshi Smiles was born.

What We Do

Our mission is rooted in compassion. We believe that every individual, no matter their background, deserves the chance to smile confidently and lead a fulfilling life.
In underserved rural communities, thousands of children live in discomfort, isolation, and stigma due to correctable birth defects. Many families lack awareness, access, and financial resources to seek treatment.
We provide hope, healing, and equity to those who would otherwise be left behind.

No Cost to Patient

Most of the work conducted by giant corporate and global foundations at huge costs is planned in cities that need the least support. Rural communities with the most need have no transport resources nor are capable of sustaining themselves for even a few days in any city. We have no such constraint and have excellent outreach, working directly with all rural partners.

Dedicated Partners

Our clinics are located in hospitals with dedicated wings for our patients and a local team who manage case inflow and outflow. We partner with dedicated members & healthcare providers who conduct camps in most rural and non-drivable roads in developing countries to make sure no child is left untreated or to fate.

Our clinic director, Dr. Rao, is world renowned in his field and has a steady group of devoted successful students who have become the lead doctors in each center. Together, our doctors bring a wealth of experience, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.

Complex Cases

We evaluate a full spectrum of cases, from simple to complex, on a case-by-case basis. This process may involve consultations with specialists from other fields and ongoing follow-up care to ensure comprehensive treatment and successful outcomes for every patient.
